Mar 26 - Day 4

Back

We got up and I worked on the multicorer with Paul and Chris. The scientists finally started to show up at noon. I took a water taxi (Named Pink Foyd) back to the shore at two and picked up some extra sunscreen and some Cokes for the trip. I taxied back out to the boat by 4 and got my things put away. The boat started chugging out of harbor after dinner and we had our first science meeting. The scientists all seemed pretty cool, and I even met one girl (Kate) who specialized in anciet rainfall measurements based on chemical tracers that only come from tree leaves showing up in the ocean.

I helped Chris Moser put on some coring equipment on the main deck and I am heading to bed. Apparently I have to be up at four because the cruise plan has changed and the first station is waaaay closer to port than the orinigal plan called for, and we are going to be doing a multi core and a long core when we get there.
